Honoring Comrade Motorola

The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the League of Young Communists USA issued a statement on October 16th, 2019, honoring Arsen “Motorola” Pavlov of the Donetsk Peoples Republic. The pro-fascist coup against the duly elected government in 2014 was instigated by US governmental figures including Republican John McCain, Democrats Hilary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Obama; Victoria Nuland, Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasian Affairs under Obama, whose husband is Robert Kagan, a leading neo-conservative in the Republican Party. The current in Kiev government is not in itself fascist; however, Kiev encourages pro-fascist elements to roam the streets and has outlawed the Communist Party of Ukraine (the third largest political party in the last free election they had).

At the onset of the US-backed coup, Commander Motorola fought at the Donetsk Airport and vicinity, where the DPR forces were victorious. Comrade Motorola was not defeated on the field of battle; instead, he was assassinated at his home on Oct. 16, 2016.

The LYCUSA also gives specific mention to Comrade Russell “Texas” Bentley, an American who has fought on the DPR side, who now broadcasts information about the conflict and runs a civilian support organization. The LYCUSA wishes “Texas” good health and that he continues the good fight.
